Keeping Cool

Sorry I haven't updated the blog in awhile. Its been a little busy around here. But like everyone else, we are trying to stay cool! We have been going to the pool a lot lately! 

A few weekends ago, we were down at the lake and some of our cousins came down to play for awhile. We had so much fun! We even set up a fun scavenger hunt for the kids! The clues took them around our house, to on the boat which took us all around. We even had to stop at Miller's Landing gas dock, where the pirate had left a clue and something special with the gas dock guy and girl for the kids. Then the pirates last clue led us to snake shoot where noodles were left there for the kids to swim on! 

We had a great time and loved having our cousins down there!

4th of July 2012!

We had a great 4th of July at June and Joe's annual pool party! Keegan loved playing with his cousins! He especially thought that Beckham was super cool and loved whenever Connor, Collin, and Ava would jump off the diving board! By our surprise, Gavin and Keegan were both brave enough to jump off the diving board as well! They didn't show any fear and just took off. We look forward to next year as well!

Swimming Lessons!

Keegan not only started swimming lessons, but in West Alton! It is so nice to have them so close! Friends of ours parents have a pool in West Alton and they have a swim instructor come over once a week to give lessons to their 3 year old son and to our neighbors 3 year old daughter. He loves the water and actually lets us try new things with him. This is a big step since the last few classes at The Little Gym, he just wanted to go on his own and not try anything that we wanted him to.

Happy Birthday Macie!

This past Sunday we went to Macie's 2nd birthday party! I can't believe she is already 2! She is such a big girl now! We had a great time seeing everyone and the kids loved playing with each other. After dinner Macie opened up all of her presents and got a lot of pretty neat things! It was so cute listening to her say, "Oh, wow!" when she would open up something. After we sang Happy Birthday and Macie blew out her candles, Jeff was gonna let the three of them stick their fingers into it. Well, he didn't realize that Keegan was gonna actually try and dive into the big ice cream cake. He luckily stopped him before he destroyed the cake. After we ate cake we took a walk down to see the baby cows and the kittens. The cows were super cute, but the kittens were hiding from us all. 

It was a great Sunday afternoon! Happy Birthday Macie girl!

Sprinkler

I got out the sprinkler for Macie and Keegan to play with the other day thinking that they would like it. Well, they both disliked it very much!! So they played in the sandbox and pool for a while. Later on Susie brought down Maison to play and when Keegan seen him in the sprinkler, he got to be a bit braver and join in. But I think Keegan will still choose the pool versus the sprinkler for now.
