This summer our main camping trip was out to Grand Lake Colorado. It was the first time that we have ever been out there in the summer. It was equally as gorgeous as in the winter, if not more. You could really smell the pine needles and take in the mountain air that it has to offer. We caravanned out there with the Stevenson family. We stopped just right before the Kansas and Colorado border to camp, before we finished our drive out there. That morning that we woke up in Kansas was Korbin's 5th birthday. We had the camper decorated with John Deere decorations and presents waiting for him. He was so excited to have his new toys to play with in the truck. That evening we then had John Deere cupcakes and sang happy birthday to him. We were so happy with our campsite and it sat right at the border of the Rocky Mountain National Park. We had moose walk right by our camper everyday. And after the first night there, we woke up to fresh bear markings and droppings right outside our camper!! One evening while sitting by the fire, we had two moose walk with in fifteen feet us in the dark. It was the most neat experience that we have had. We enjoyed a lot of hiking, seeing a ton of wildlife, paddle boarding, fishing, white water rafting, horseback riding, swimming at the beach, shopping, and being outdoors. It was a very memorable trip and can't wait to do it again!
