Memorial Weekend!

Here are some pictures from this past Memorial weekend down at the lake.

Keegan is now sitting in a highchair like a big boy.

It's hard to tell that these two goof balls are smiling with their life jackets on and have their eyes open with the sun shining.

Keegan's 1st Boat Ride!

This past weekend when we were down at the lake it was suppose to be very rainy and cloudy. But to our surprise it was sunny and in the 80's. So we decided to take Keegan out for his first boat ride. At first we bundled him up thinking it was gonna be chilly with the wind, but before we knew it we had him down to just his onesie, life jacket, and his hat. He was a little skeptical at first, especially with his cheeks being scrunched in from his life jacket. But after a couple of minutes when he got used to his life jacket he started to smile and enjoy himself. About half way through the boat ride, he took his bottle and went straight to sleep and slept for the rest of the time.

Even though Keegan was asleep, (not that he would have realized it anyway) we took him by a old resort that we went to as kids and that my mom started going there with all of her family when she was a kid herself. They eventually tore down the cabins and built condos. They were just these ugly pink cabins, but to us they were everything! How the resort had every thing set up was the coolest! We had such a big family that we almost took up the entire resort. We had a lot of our cousins there so there was always someone to play, go tubing, skiing, fishing, or swim with. Now looking back, it was almost like the resort was our playpen. We had a lot of freedom as littler kids to roam around. Everywhere you looked was someone that you were related to or a really good friend of the family. It was fun taking him there because I was only a few months older than he is when I started going there. My parents tried getting us to go to the beach or somewhere out of the state every once in awhile, but if we couldn't go to the lake for that one week, we then would pass every time. I can honestly say for my bother and sister, that we all three are so happy that we always chose the lake!

Here are some pictures that I took with my phone of Keegan.

Waiting patiently to go on his first boat ride.

His cheeks all squished up.

Still taking it all in.

Our Vegetable Garden!

My mom and me were finally able to plant our vegetable garden with the help and supervision of Keegan and Macie. We planted cucumbers, spinach, bell peppers, and tomatoes. It will be fun to watch everything grow!

Gavin & Macie

I had to post this picture that Becky took of Gavin and Macie. They were both so tired after their walk that they fell asleep leaning up against each other! They are both so precious!

Mother's Day!

My first Mothers Day was a very enjoyable day. We started out the day by going to lunch with Eric's family, then we headed to the zoo to meet up with my family. It was a very nice day to be outside and we weren't the only ones to think so. I don't think I have ever seen Forest Park that crowded. But I do have to say that as big of a crowd that there was, everyone seemed to respect everyone. Especially when it came to seeing the animals.

After we left the zoo we then headed back to my mom and dad's to celebrate Hanna's birthday.

There was two main things that made my first Mothers Day great!
1. My mom had Keegan make me a card. It was the cutest thing! She put markers in his hand and then had him scribble on a piece of paper that she made into a card for me! I think I might frame it.
2. I love the Celebrity Apprentice and I get way to into it. Well, Donald Trump fired both Nene and Star Jones! It was so exciting that when he did, my mom and me jumped up and screamed with excitement! Poor little Keegan was sleeping and got really startled and started crying. After picking him up and comforting him, he went right back to sleep.
(Although I like all of the remaining contestants, I hope Lil' John or John Rich wins The Celebrity Apprentice)

Keegan's Baptism!

Keegan's baptism was this past weekend! He did really good all through church and then through the baptism where he was baptized with three other babies. When Eric first helled him up over the water he was smiling! Then came the water where he had a very shocked look over his face. It was very cute to say the least. Afterwards we came back to our house for some lunch and cake. We had everything set up in our shed/garage which was perfect space for kids/babies and games.
