Keegan's 1st Boat Ride!

This past weekend when we were down at the lake it was suppose to be very rainy and cloudy. But to our surprise it was sunny and in the 80's. So we decided to take Keegan out for his first boat ride. At first we bundled him up thinking it was gonna be chilly with the wind, but before we knew it we had him down to just his onesie, life jacket, and his hat. He was a little skeptical at first, especially with his cheeks being scrunched in from his life jacket. But after a couple of minutes when he got used to his life jacket he started to smile and enjoy himself. About half way through the boat ride, he took his bottle and went straight to sleep and slept for the rest of the time.

Even though Keegan was asleep, (not that he would have realized it anyway) we took him by a old resort that we went to as kids and that my mom started going there with all of her family when she was a kid herself. They eventually tore down the cabins and built condos. They were just these ugly pink cabins, but to us they were everything! How the resort had every thing set up was the coolest! We had such a big family that we almost took up the entire resort. We had a lot of our cousins there so there was always someone to play, go tubing, skiing, fishing, or swim with. Now looking back, it was almost like the resort was our playpen. We had a lot of freedom as littler kids to roam around. Everywhere you looked was someone that you were related to or a really good friend of the family. It was fun taking him there because I was only a few months older than he is when I started going there. My parents tried getting us to go to the beach or somewhere out of the state every once in awhile, but if we couldn't go to the lake for that one week, we then would pass every time. I can honestly say for my bother and sister, that we all three are so happy that we always chose the lake!

Here are some pictures that I took with my phone of Keegan.

Waiting patiently to go on his first boat ride.

His cheeks all squished up.

Still taking it all in.
