St. Charles County Fair

We always enjoy going to the county fair and enjoying all the activities that they have. The boys rode on rides, played games, seen all the live stock, truck and tractor pulls, and the rodeo. This year Keegan was in the rodeo for mutton busting. He has been asking to mutton bust for quite a while now so we decided to let him try. The whole experience was really neat. He lined up with the rest of the cowboys at the beginning of the show and walked out as they were introduced to some pretty fun music. Once they were all out there, someone sang the national anthem and they prayed. It was pretty cute to see Keegan take his hat off and put it on his chest for the national anthem, and he kneeled down with everyone else for the prayer. The first night he was on a sheep named Boodelicious and that sheep did not mess around. He flung Keegan off pretty hard. But Keegan wanted to still try it again the next night. When I registered him, the lady asked he just wanted to do it for fun. I said yes but thats what I thought he was doing before. So they put him on a little more tamer sheep so it was more enjoyable for him. It was a really neat thing for him to be apart of. Now this whole time he waits in the back with the rest of the cowboys. He made a bull rider friend named Nick who took him under his wing and helped him out. He gave him some pointers and looked after him. The next night he came up to Keegan and said, "you didn't lean far enough did you?". Keegan smiled and said no. Their friendship was pretty cute. The second night he met another kid who was mutton busting too at the tractor pull. Those two hit it off and were happy to sit with each other and watch the rest of the rodeo.
